How do I book a locum? Easy, you need to register first, pop your details into the form choose a username and password; make sure your email in correct. The process from there is pretty self explanatory but if you find yourself in difficulties email us and we can guide you through the process.	How do I register a practice? Click on register the practice on the front page and complete the online form, you will be granted instant access to search locums straight away.
Are there locums available in my area? You will have to register and search to find this out, there are lots of locums available at any given time, some locums are available to most areas, some are only available to specific areas and this depends on where your practice is located.	What if I search for a given date and cant find any available locums? This is sometimes the case. Demand sometimes outstrips supply, however if this does happen let us know, there may be some locums who are available to other areas, we can email these locums to enquire if they can make an exception and make themselves available to you surgery to facilities a booking.
How much does a locums cost per session? That depends on the locum where your practice is located and how long a sessions is. Locums fee's also depend on the distances they have to travel, so you may find considerable variations.	How much does a locum cost for an entire day? How much does it cost to book a locum? The average cost to search a locum and book a locum can range from £3.50 a sessions to £5.50 for a whole day booking on average, if you calculate the time you delegate to searching and booking a locum using traditional routes you'll find this more than pays for itself. If you compare this to fee's charged by locum agencies you'll find they are miniscule in comparison.	What is your agency fee? To reiterate, we are not a locum agency, we are an online booking tool, we charge a small fee to book a locum and this enables locums to work independently and claim pension contributions. Please refer to out T&C's of use
Are the registered locums available for on call duties? You will find this out by using the drop down box on the search page. Be sure not to assume that a locum will be available on call to 6.30pm if they are only available to 5pm on the booking page.	How do I know if a locum is coming after I have booked them? Our unique sytem assumes that is a locums is available on a search, then they are available on that date at the predefined times set by the locum. When you make a booking, both you and locum your are booking will receive a notification email. All the locum needs to do is press the confirm button, you will receive a confirmation email and you will noticed on your account page that the corresponding booking will display a 'confirmed' status.
What do I do if I want to cancel a locum? You must inform us via email or via the contact page as soon as possible. We encourage practices to avoid doing this where possible; this can cause disruption to a locums work schedule, we strongly discourage the practice of booking a locum "just in case they are needed" only to cancel the session closer to the date, we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee for the booking due to the administration involved in the cancellation of a session. In line with BMA guidance the locum may reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee which could be a percentage of the original session fee depending of the notice given, number of sessions cancelled and potential loss of earnings.	What if a locum cancels? Both the locum and the practice should inform us as soon as possible so we do not charge the practice for the booking and so we can do our best to find a replacement. We strongly encourage our registered locums no avoid cancelling sessions. We appreciate that extenuating circumstances sometimes occur and these are unavoidable, but we also stress that locums should keep their availability on the site up to date and accurate, cancelling a session because they have been booked elsewhere is not acceptable, repeated failure to keep their availability up to date results in the locum being prevented from using the website.
What if a want to book a locum again? We think we provide a great service and should be rewarded for the time and effort. If you have used a particular locum before booking with us then we don't have a problem if you use the site to make future bookings or if you want to book a locum from outside the frame work. However, if a practice has not previously used a particular locum before using the website then we would strongly request that any subsequent bookings take place via the website. Failure to adhere to these guidelines could potentially prevent the locum from getting future bookings elsewhere so please use the website for future bookings.	Can I choose my own terms? Yes. You can choose the regions and practices you wish to work in, as well as the fees for your booked sessions.
How long does registration take? Once you register, you will be available for bookings immediately, subject to your availability.	How do I know if they can use our computer system? When searching for an available locum, the quote screen will show you the list of computer systems they can use.
Who do I pay? After a session has been completed, the locum will invoice you directly, to do this they can either use our in built invoicing system with pension forms or they can invoice you via other means giving you the details of payment. The website will invoice you a separate booking fee in due course.	Do the registered locums charge travelling expenses? Do the registered locums charge travelling expenses? Locums are able to alter fees to different areas, if they are willing to travel further away from their home then they can alter their fee's to take this extra distance and time into account, so the fee you see at the quote page is the fee should be invoiced.* *this is the case if the exact sessions and times are adhered to, if locums are required to work for longer or to carry out extra duties that were not originally booked the doctor can alter their invoice to account for this change
